Wholegrain seeded loaf recipe
Baking bread by hand
500g Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Wholegrain Seeded bread Flour
1 tsp Sainsbury's fast action dried yeast
1.5 tsp salt
25g butter/margarine
330ml water, lukewarm
Put flour, yeast and salt into a bowl, add the butter and rub in with the fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Gradually mix in water to make a soft dough. Knead well on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic, then place it back into the bowl and cover loosely with lightly oiled cling film. Leave the dough in a warm place for about an hour to rise. Tip the dough out onto a lightly floured surface, knead well, place in a greased 2lb loaf tin and cover loosely with lightly oiled cling film. Leave the dough in a warm place for about half an hour. Remove the cling film and bake in a preheated oven 220°C (425°F, gas mark 7) for 30 minutes or until lightly golden in colour.
