1 sachet of Spaghetti Bolognese mix
1 tbsp vegetable oil
450g lean minced beef
1 onion, finely chopped
115g mushrooms, sliced
400g tin chopped tomatoes
2tbsp tomato puree
150ml cold water
275g spaghetti, cooked & drained
Recipe Suggestions:
For a vegan recipe why not replace the beef with meat free mince or mixed beans.
Cooking instructions: Hob
Before cooking: Heat 1tbsp of oil in a frying pan. During cooking: Fry beef mince, onion & mushrooms for 6 minutes over a high heat. Drain off any excess liquid. Mix contents of the sachet with 150ml cold water and stir into mince. Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato puree and stir well. Bring to the boil, stirring continuously. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until thoroughly cooked, stirring occasionally. After cooking: Serve with cooked spaghetti. Check food is piping hot. All cooking appliances vary.
